James "Jamie" Perkins, 42, of Ashford, CT, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2015. Jamie was born on November 17, 1972 in Willimantic, CT. He was the son of Scott Perkins of Scotland and the late Penny Paulhus. He is survived by Scott's wife Carol of Scotland, his brother and sister-in-law Steven and Louise Fletcher of Ashford, brother Brandon Perkins of New London, brother Ryan Perkins of Killingly and brother and sister-in-law Jeremy and Melissa Perkins of Glastonbury, grandparents Herbert and Helen Perkins of Mansfield Center, uncles Mark Perkins of Mansfield, Paul Paulhus of Austin, TX and Chris Paulhus of Columbia and many other family members and friends who will sorely miss Jamie. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his stepfather Bruce Fletcher, his grandparents Paul Paulhus, Sr. and Lois Paulhus and his uncle Craig Perkins. Jamie was employed at UCONN for the past 12 years and was a graduate of Woodstock Academy. He also had been a member of Ashford Volunteer Fire Department which he enjoyed very much. Calling hours are scheduled for 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Potters Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT.
