James Mark Mooney

James M. Mooney, 21, of Willington, formerly of Mansfield, son of Glenn Mooney of Willington and Michele (Aubrey) Flynn of Chaplin, brother of Janelle Mooney of Willimantic, died Monday July 31, 2006 at his home. He was born January 8, 1985 in Willimantic and had lived in Mansfield most of his life, moving to Willington last year. He was a graduate of E. O. Smith High School and attended Manchester Community College. James enlisted in the Army National Guard and was employed as a Blackhawk Helicopter Mechanic. His dream was to become a helicopter pilot. In addition to his parents and sister he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Donald Aubrey and his partner Nancy Darr of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jane Aubrey of Kansas, his paternal grandparents Beverly Mooney of North Windham and Lawrence Mooney of Windham, many aunts, uncles and cousins. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, att.
