James LaFreniere Obituary
James N. LaFreniere, 87, of Chaplin, Connecticut passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on July 10, 2023. James was born on November 13, 1935 in Burlington, VT, the son of the late Veronica Catherine (Smith) and Nelson Edward LaFreniere.
James was married for 50 years to his late wife Pauline LaFreniere. He is survived by his two children: Michael LaFreniere of Chaplin, CT and Cheryl Larrow of Mulberry, FL; a brother, Truman LaFreniere of Plainfield, CT; two grandchildren, Kelly LaFreniere of Chaplin, CT and Megan LaFreniere of Windham, CT and three great grandchildren, Kaylee and Autumn Halle and Cameron Serrano. He was predeceased by his brothers Paul LaFreniere of Wyoming, NY and Phil LaFreniere of Windham, CT.
James worked locally for many years at Central Connecticut Co-Op, Rytman Grain, High Tech Feeds, Blue Slope Trucking and Franklin Mushroom. He loved to golf, bowl, watch NASCAR and meet up with retired co-workers for breakfast. He adored his grandchildren and bragged about them anytime he got the chance. James will be greatly missed.
There will be no calling hours or viewing. Private burial will be held at the family's convenience per James wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
