James "Jim" McGill Obituary
James Joseph McGill, 78, of Mansfield Center, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, surrounded by his adoring family, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on April 13, 1946.
Jim grew up in West Hartford and graduated from Northwest Catholic High School. In 1967, he married Patricia, and together they raised two sons, Michael and Scott. As a combat veteran, Jim honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he earned his degree from Central Connecticut State University. Jim then dedicated four decades of his professional life to the State of Connecticut as an IT specialist, retiring in 2003.
