James "Jay" J. Lee Iii

James "Jay" Joseph Lee III, 54, of Niantic, CT, passed from this life on Sunday February 13th 2011 after an extended illness. Jay was the beloved son of Mary Jane (Wilmot) Lee and the late James J. Lee Jr. of Niantic and formerly Willimantic. Jay was born May 8th 1956 in Willimantic CT. He attended Windham Public Schools and graduated from Windham High School in June of 1974. He is survived by his brothers and sisters and their families, John and Sharon Lee of Windham and their sons, Jason and his wife Melanie of Davidson NC and Joshua of Windham; Cynthia Lee and her husband Mark Konney and their daughter Morgan of Niantic; Jeffrey Lee and his wife Sheri and their sons Patrick and Shaun of Mansfield; and Mary Beth Lee and her husband Chris Fiore and their daughter Anna of Columbia. He is also survived by his two great nephews, Trevor and Dillon Lee of Davidson NC. Jay was an extremely talented, self-employed interior decorator whose work had been published in many prominent magazines over the years. He traveled all over New England designing and completing hundreds of high profile projects for both his commercial and residential customers. His fun loving, outgoing personality was enjoyed by his many friends and associates and he will surely be missed by all.
