James A. Insalaco

James A. Insalaco, 91, of Willimantic, husband of the late Fernande (Therrien) Insalaco, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Willimantic. He was born April 28, 1920 in Willimantic, the son of Diego and Marie (Giordano) Insalaco and had lived in Willimantic all his life. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre and receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal. He is survived by his son, James Insalaco Jr. of East Hartford, three daughters, JoAnne Faragosa of Dallas, GA, Janice Clark of Coventry and Gayle Insalaco of Windham, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Theresa Gaudette of Marana, AZ, many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 12 noon at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or alz.org.
