James L. Fandell Sr

James L. Fandell Sr., 79, of Storrs, husband of the late Mildred C. (Tormey) Fandell, died Wednesday Aug. 13, 2008 at Windham Hospital. He was born May 21, 1929 in Coventry the son of James L. and Florence (Neff) Fandell. He was a retired tool and die maker with SEMCO and also worked part time in delivery of the Hartford Courant. Mr. Fandell was a member of the Franco American Civic and Social Club. He is survived by two sons, James Fandell Jr. and his wife Kathy of Hampton and Richard James Fandell of Storrs; two grandchildren, Tyler James Fandell of S. Windsor and Justine Ashley Fandell of Windham and a great grandson Holden James Serrambana of Windham. He was predeceased by a daughter Ileen Fandell. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00am with interment following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
