James David Carrero, 36, of Moosup, CT, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Known to his family and friends as Jimmy and King James, he leaves behind his longtime partner of 10 years, Sara Canwell; his two daughters Marissa and Olivia Galarza; parents Anibal and Maria Carrero, of San Sebastian, PR; sister Evelyn Taber of Sterling, CT; brother-in-law James Taber of Moosup, CT; brother Anibal Carrero Jr. of Willington, CT. As well as nephews Arnaldo, Danny, Lameen, Joseph, Kyle, Donovan and Manny; niece Natalia, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. James was first and foremost a proud father to his two beautiful daughters. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox's fan, and was a cook for several years. James was a very loveable person and will be remembered for his big smile, and kindness. The family would like to give a special thank you to his doctors, Naida Arcinas, and Michelle Boudreau, who cared for him throughout his illness. A Mass will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at St. Joseph's Church, in Willimantic, CT, with assembly at church at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at New Willimantic Cemetery in Willimantic, CT.
