Jacqueline Weideman, 80, of Storrs, wife of the late William Weideman, died Wednesday October 8, 2008 at her home. She was born April 25, 1928 the daughter of the late Efisio and Rosie (Caporale) Simola. Jacqueline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was very active in her Church St. Patrick's Church in New York. She had a special fondness with St. Theresa because of her love of flowers. She was active in the Elmira/Corning Ballet Co. Jacqueline loved to cook and bake pies. She also enjoyed sewing. She is survived by three daughters Bonnie Baumgartner, of Storrs, Cheryl Meir and Husband William, of Somers and Jackie Ann Gunn and husband Adam, of Moyock, NC, two sisters and a brother, Lucille Ritchey, of Aurora, CO, Katy Dole of Lonetree, CO and Ted Simola, of Cheyenne, WY, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) on Monday from 9:30am to 10:30am with a Mass at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church Coventry.
