Jack A. Corey, 65, of North Windham, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born in Norwich, CT and graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1968. He was employed for many years as a surveyor with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 478 and finished his career as a carpenter with the state of Connecticut, retiring in 2011. Jack was an avid Red Sox fan. He loved animals and was a generous contributor to the Best Friends Animal Society. He also supported our military veterans. He is survived by his loving wife Lindy (Rogers) Corey of North Windham; his mother Madeline (Yovino) Norton of Norwich, his sisters, Carol Ann Morin of Chattanooga, TN, Mary Ann Whitmore of Griswold; his brother Joseph Wierzbinski of Hampton, numerous nieces and nephews all he loved deeply, one young lady with whom he was very close and shared a special relationship, his niece Erin Weirzbinski of Hampton, and his beloved pup, Molly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Montville Polish Club, 85 Maple Ave., Uncasville from 1-5:00 pm on this Saturday March 22nd.
