J. Vincent Johnson

J. Vincent Johnson, 85, of Willimantic,Ct., formerly of Hyde Park, MA., husband of Georgette H. Johnson, died Friday March 7, 2003 in Willimantic. He was born July 17, 1917 in Willimantic the son of Ernest and Inga (Ingebretsen) Johnson. He was a WW2 Army veteran and a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Chapel in Storrs, CT. He was predeceased by his first wife Elaine Ivy (Vincent) Johnson. In addition to his wife Georgette, he is survived by a son Kenneth J. Johnson of Milton,MA., a sister Louise Clark of Norwich,Ct. and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00pm. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00am at St. Mark's Chapel, Storrs. Burial will be private on Tuesday in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, MA.
