Israel Mateo-Santiago

Israel Mateo Santiago, 62, loving devoted husband and father passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015. He was born on April 12, 1953 in Juana Diaz, P.R. He has been a resident of Willimantic for over 40 years and considered this his home. Israel is survived by his dear wife and partner Maria Algarin, his 7 children, Ida Vazquez, Jannise "Coto" Mateo, Jose "Papo" Mateo, Iveliz Mateo, Sasha Mateo, Agnes Mateo, and Frances Mateo. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, Edwin "Andy", Keishla, Melvin, Jomar, Xavier, Jenilise, Daisalee, Mariah, Lorivellise, and Aaliyah. Israel will be extremely missed by all his family and friends, especially his brothers and sisters. God has gained an angel. We will always love you. A Wake will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT.
