Irene D. Rockwood

Irene D. Rockwood, 101, of Lebanon, widow of both Arlington Locke and Frank Rockwood, died Saturday May 7, 2005 in Waterford. She was born April 12, 1904 in Eagleville. She and her first husband owned and operated Al and Irene s Restaurant in North Windham for many years. She later worked as a cook at the Card Home in Willimantic and the Willington Convalescent Home. She is survived by a son, Lynn Locke of Waterford, a grandson, Bryan Locke, also of Waterford, a granddaughter, Karen Thoms of Huntington Beach, CA and a great grandson, Franklyn Locke of Bernardsville, NJ. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in the Windham Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
