Irene Emmons Bergquist, 78, of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Willington and Ashford, died Thursday July 4, 2002 in Leesburg. She was born Oct. 19, 1923 in Stafford the daughter of Ariel and Irene (Wallen) Green. She has resided in Florida for the past 10 years. She is survived by 4 sons and a daughter in law; Gene Emmons of Willington, Wayne and Kathy Emmons of Willington, Barry Emmons of Windham Center and Mark Emmons of Leesburg, 2 daughters and a son in law; Linda and Richard Krasinski of Somers and Karen Bourque of Ellington, 2 brothers; Robert Green of N. Windham and LeRoy Green of Randolph, VT., a sister Evelyn Green of Ashford, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a close family friend Linda Upton. She was predeceased by a brother Herbert Green, a sister Ruth Eisnor and a daughter in law Jacqueline Emmons. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 prior to the procession to her 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Philip Church, Rte 44, Ashford. Burial will follow in the Willington Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O.
