Irene Aubin

Irene Reeny Aubin, 82, of Willimantic, wife of the late Norbert Aubin Sr., died Tuesday May 3, 2005 in Marlborough. She was born May 29, 1922 in Hartford, daughter of the late Herbert and Maryellen (Miner) Hooper and had lived in Willimantic most of her life. She was employed at the former Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. in Willimantic. Mrs. Aubin was a devoted caregiver to her family. She is survived by a son Norbert Aubin Jr. and his wife Nona of Florida, 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Andre Morin of South Windham, Mary and Dennis Moriarty of Cape Cod, Linda and John Powell of Willimantic, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Elizabeth Hooper of Florida, James and Shirley Hooper of Willimantic, a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Ray Olsen of Willimantic, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Mary Hooper, Alice Collette, Gladys Barber and Nancy Nixon and a great grandchild Michael Russell Congdon. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 a.m. prior to the procession to her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Valley St., Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
