Ints Bachmuts

Ints Bachmuts, 66, of South Windsor, husband of Vija (Vanters) Bachmuts, died Monday May 16, 2005 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1938 in Liepaja, Latvia, the son of Irma (Taurins) Bachmuts of S. Windsor and the late Andrejs Bachmuts. Mr. Bachmuts had been a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church in Willimantic since its beginnings in the early 1950 s. He was also active in numerous Latvian organizations and was a longtime member of the Latvian fraternity, Talavija. His lifelong hobby he enjoyed with his family, was boating. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter and son in law, Sandra and Ken Scully of Maynard, MA. and their son Evan Scully. The family of Mr. Bachmuts will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00pm at the Latvian Lutheran Church, 76 Windham Rd., Willimantic, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations are suggested to the Occupation Museum of Latvia.
