Howard G. Vigneau, 71, of Ashford, husband of Monique (Ahrens) Vigneau, passed away Thursday April 28, 2005 at the Rockville General Hospital. He was born June 8, 1933 in Keene, N.H. and was a Tolland resident for many years prior to moving to Ashford 8 years ago. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Vigneau was a retired truck driver from Herb Holden Trucking in Broadbrook. In retirement he worked as a carrier for both the Hartford Courant and the Willimantic Chronicle. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons, Michael Vigneau and his wife Mona of E. Hartford, Ricky Sirois and his wife Mary of Leominster, MA. and Roger Sirois and his wife Janet of Coventry; a brother and 2 sisters and 7 grandchildren. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday between 5:00 and 8:00pm. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Philip Cemetery, Rte. 44, Ashford. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to the National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd St., Suite 1100, N.Y., N.Y. 10016.
