Howard L. Reiter

Howard L. Reiter, 66, of Coventry, Ct. died of complications of cancer at home on January 10, 2012. He was the son of the late Harry and Sally (Hayden) Reiter. Howard leaves his beloved wife of thirty-nine years, Laura (Rosen) Reiter; brothers Martin Reiter (Susan) and Gary Reiter (Marie); and sister-in-law Jane Berenbeim (Ronald); nieces Jessica and Sarah Berenbeim and Alice Reiter; and nephew Benjamin Reiter. Scholar and teacher of American politics, known internationally for his studies of American political parties, Howard was Professor and Chair Emeritus, Department of Political Science, University of Connecticut. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
