Hildred "Hildy" Chapel

Hildred Hildy M. Chapel, 81, of Main Street, Hampton, wife of the late Sherman Chapel, died Saturday July 30, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. She was born July 20, 1924 in Seal Harbor, Maine the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Joyce) Bergeron. Hildy was a co-owner of the Pearl Agency in Hampton for many years. She was a 4-H Leader, member of the Little River Grange and had been active in the Hampton Congregational Church teaching Sunday School and Bible School. For several years she made donuts on Saturday mornings for the children in the area. Hildy is survived by her 4 children, S. Clark Chapel and his wife Connie of Westbrook, Bruce Chapel and his wife Lorraine of Hampton, Ann Garrett of Moosup and Dana Ameer and her husband Al of Hampton; a brother Bert Bergeron of Kennebunk, ME., a sister Evelyn Bergeron of Cambridge, MA., 7 grandchildren, Marc, Craig, Rebecca, Kate, Elizabeth, Joey and Kari; and 4 great grandchildren, Casey, Devon, Patrick and Olivia.
