Herman F. Carlson

Herman F. Carlson, 89, of Ashford, husband of the late Eleanor (LaJeunesse) Carlson, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday March 30, 2004 at the Manchester Hospital. He was born July 7, 1914 in Hartford the son of Carl and Josephine (Carlson) Carlson. He had been employed by General Elevator in Hartford for over 40 years. Mr. Carlson enjoyed ice skating, swimming, hiking, playing the harmonica, hunting , trapping and was fanatical about Airedale Terriers. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by 3 daughters; Beverly Carlson of Ashford, Dawn Carlson of St. Michaels, MD. and Sharon Pineault and her husband Jerry of Lebanon, a sister Olga Anderson of Niantic, 3 grandchildren; Susan Potter of E. Hartford, Erin Crosby and Ray Crosby of Lebanon, a great grandson Cameron Crosby of Lebanon and his devoted friend Armand Barrett of Ashford. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00pm. Funeral services and burial will be private.
