Herbert Perkins Obituary
Herbert H. Perkins, 94, of Brooklyn, CT passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022. He was born in Willimantic, CT the son of the late Francis and Ella (Perkins) Bruce.

Herb attended school in Mansfield, CT. He worked for Haggerty’s Oil Service prior to enlisting in the US Navy. Herb served in the Navy until November 25, 1947. He proudly worked and retired from Electro-Motive and Brand Rex.

Herb and his wife Helen were married for over 73 years. They enjoyed traveling all over the world and frequently visited friends in Florida. He had a love hate relationship with the Boston Red Sox and a love for the UConn Women’s Basketball team. They loved dancing and spending their time together during the holidays with family, friends, and most of all their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Herb is survived by his two sons, Mark H. Perkins, Sr. and his partner Virginia Siniscalo and Herbert Scott Perkins and his wife Carol; six grandchildren Tabitha Perkins, Mark Perkins, Jr. and his wife Kathy, Brandon Perkins and his wife Mandy, Jeremy Perkins and his wife Melissa, and Ryan Perkins; as well as 11 great grandchildren. Herb was predeceased by his wife Helen; son Craig P. Perkins, brother Francis Perkins; stepbrother Richard Bruce’ and grandson James Perkins.

There will be a private interment for Herb and Helen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd. Suite #4B Southington, CT 06489.
