Henry R. Dimock

Henry R. Yogi Dimock, 70, of Ashford, husband of Virginia (Duncan) Dimock, died Friday October 5, 2001 in Quebec. He was born March 5, 1931 in Hartford, the son of Leon and Florence (Lee) Dimock and had lived in Ashford for the past 15 years. Mr. Dimock loved his family, friends and being around other people. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed playing cards. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children and their spouses, Risley and Jessica Dimock of Columbia, Bonnie and Peter Buck of Ashford, Beth and Jim Wilcox of Mansfield Center, a son-in-law, Michael Belanger of Hampton, 2 sisters, Constance Dimock of Trumbull, Dorothy Tomecko of Storrs, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Cora Belanger. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 41 Cedar Swamp Rd. Hampton. Burial will follow in the South Cemetery, Hampton. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr. Wallingford, CT 06492-7522. potterfh.com
