Helena J Sirak

Helena J. (Sudol) Sirak, 75, of Pine St. Columbia, widow of Michael P. Sirak, died Monday Dec. 16, 2002 at home. She was born Aug. 12, 1927 in Hartford. After many years of employment at UConn, she retired from the Data Processing Center and then returned to work part time at the Graduate Center. Mrs. Sirak was active in politics in Columbia and was also active with the Saxton B. Little Library , St. Columba Church and numerous civic groups. Her helping hand to many will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son Michael J. Sirak of W. Haven, her daughter and son in law Susan and Paul Churchill of Columbia, her brother John Sudol of E. Hampton, 2 grandchildren Erin and David Churchill , a great granddaughter Carolyn Ayer and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be private with burial in the West St. Cemetery, Columbia. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
