Helen Sabo Meduna

Helen (Sabo) Meduna, 90, of Ashford, widow of Charles Meduna, died Saturday Aug. 13, 2005 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford. She was born Nov. 14, 1914 in New York, N.Y. the daughter of Steven and Helen Sabo. She had at been employed at the University of CT. prior to her retirement. Helen was a former member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Ashford. She is survived by 2 sons, Robert Meduna and his wife Cecelyn of Ellington, and Charles Meduna of Mansfield; a brother George Sabo of Windham, a sister Irene Balogh of Mansfield, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including Mary Turcotte and her husband Bert, and her good friend Joseph Messier of Ashford. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday between 10:00and 11:00am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00am.
