Helen Mclaughlin

Helen (Chapel) McLaughlin, 96, formerly of Hampton, died Saturday Aug. 21, 2010 in Killingly. She was born April 9, 1914 in Hampton, the daughter of Edward and Jennie (Clark) Chapel. Helen was last employed at Killingly Memorial School Library in Danielson. She had served as chairperson of the Fletcher Memorial Library Board in Hampton, was a former member of the Democratic Town Committee and had served the town as registrar of voters. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Hampton. Helen was predeceased by her husband Patrick in 1972 and two brothers, Robert and Sherman Chapel. She is survived by six step grandchildren, including James Rodriguez and his wife Joyce and Joseph Rodriguez and his wife Lorraine all of Hampton and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday Aug. 26th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Cedar Swamp Rd., Hampton. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Danielson. Memorial donations in Helen's name may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church or Fletcher Memorial Library, Hampton.
