Helen M. Koniar

Helen M. Koniar, 81, of Storrs, wife of Adolph Koniar, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 in Storrs. She was born May 4, 1924 in Hartford and had lived in Storrs over 50 years. As a young woman she was employed by the Frisbee Pie Company. She was a member of the Republican Party and enjoyed working the polls in Mansfield at election time. In addition to her husband of nearly 55 years she is survived by 3 children, John Koniar of Ft. Meyers, FL, Robert Koniar of Storrs, and Dorine Randall of New Ipswich, NH, a brother, John Bozio of East Hartford, a granddaughter, Christine Koniar, a great granddaughter, 2 nephews John and Robert Bozio. Funeral services were private with burial in the Storrs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, 238 West Town St., Norwich, CT 06360.
