Helen I. Jurkovics

Helen I. Jurkovics, 87, of Storrs, died Monday July 11, 2011 at Windham Hospital. She was the daughter of Julius and Cecilia (Jazarnicky) Jurkovics. Helen was a retiree of the State of Connecticut Labor Dept. Helen enjoyed traveling, painting, sewing and gardening. Most importantly, she was always there taking care of her family. Helen is survived by a sister, Celia Becker and a brother, George Jurkovics; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Alexander and Jerry Jurkovics and a sister, Bertha Racicot. Helen's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday July 14, 2011 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, with her funeral service beginning at 2:00pm.
