Helen A. Erickson

Helen A. Erickson, 79, of Willimantic, died Sunday Feb. 16, 2003 at the Windham Hospital. She was born April 27, 1923 in Mansfield the daughter of Axel and Elsie (Whitehouse) Erickson. She was a graduate of Windham High School. Helen was employed by Willimantic Lumber & Coal and also was employed in the Windham school system as a secretary for a number of years. She was a former member of the Willimantic Country Club and enjoyed playing mahjong. She is survived by 2 cousins; Nancy Blanchard of Merritt Island, Fla. and Donald Morse of Scotland. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic with her family receiving friends at the funeral home for one hour prior. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
