Hazel Horvath

Hazel Horvath of Somers, formerly of Willimantic, passed away on Monday July 8, 2002. She was the widow of John Horvath Jr. She leaves her son and daughter-in-law, John and Mary Horvath of Somers, her beloved grandchildren, Kimberly of Gig Harbor, WA., Christine of Stafford Springs and Karen of Coventry and her five great grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, Madison, Travis and Trevor. She retired from the University of Connecticut in 1975 and pursued her love of needlework and spending many happy hours with her husband and grandchildren. Mrs. Horvath will always be remembered for her kind and gentle nature and the love she showered on her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Willimantic at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12th. Calling hours will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic prior to the funeral. Memorial donations may be made to Evergreen Nursing Home, P. O.
