Hazel P. Foster

Hazel Potter Foster, 91, of Windham, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, January 3, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, C. Kirk Foster, who she met while working at Electro Motive Co. She was a lifelong resident of Windham and a member of the Windham Center Congregational Church for over 75 years. Hazel was a sweet and loving mother who cherished her family. She is survived by her children, Wendy Foster Spagnuolo and her husband Al of Texas, Patrick Foster of Windham, Annette Foster McDaniel of Florida; her sister Anna Mae Segar of Windham, her grandchildren: Jenn Michelle (McDaniel) Pedini, Katie (McDaniel) Rhodes, Michael and Daniel Spagnuolo, Courtney Foster; a great-granddaughter, two great-grandsons and a niece and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Allyn and Arthur Potter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Windham Center Congregational Church, 4 Windham Center Rd., Windham, CT 06280. Hazel's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday January 8, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 11:00am at First Congregation Church of Windham, 4 Windham Center Rd., Windham, with assembly at church.
