Harry Sliney

Harry Sliney, 88, of Windham, Connecticut, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Windham Hospital surrounded by his loving friends. He was born in West Hartford on September 14, 1924 to the late Ralph and Mary Gulli. Harry was predeceased by the long time love of his life Joan Gorton. Harry is survived by his sister, Dolores Stella of Cromwell. Harry was a much loved member of the Baraco program in South Windham until his retirement in 2009. Harry loved to sit at Dunkin Donuts and socialize with his friends. He looked forward to his yearly vacations to Hampton Beach, his nightly game shows, Windham Airport, going to parties, gardening and driving by his old favorite places. Most of all, he loved his support staff and housemates and was very much loved by the people who were privileged to know him. A visitation will be held on Friday March 1, 2013, between 12:30 and 1:00pm with a service beginning at 1:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic.
