Harry Flegert, 80, of Lebanon, husband of the late Frances (Duffany) Flegert, died Monday May 23, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. He was born March 8, 1925 on Village Hill Rd. in Lebanon, the son of Julius and Lydia (Schachinger) Flegert. Prior to his retirement, Harry worked out of the Willimantic Post Office as a rural mail carrier. He was a World War II Army veteran. Harry was a life member of the Lebanon Lion s Club where he was a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Lebanon, the Lebanon Historical Society and enjoyed playing cards at the Lebanon Seniors. He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Harry J. and Rosalind Flegert of Lebanon, 2 daughters, Dianne Baran of Lebanon and Laurie Flegert and her partner Dominic Yoia of Lebanon; a sister Helen Krause of Lebanon, 3 grandchildren, Rodney Baran and his wife Heather, Matthew Flegert and Kate Flegert, 2 great grandsons, Sawyer and Shane Baran and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Village Hill Rd., Lebanon, with Rev. Ralph Sackschewsky officiating. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery.
