Harry J. Cafrella

Harry J. Cafrella, 87, of Columbia, husband of Evelyn (Mathewson) Cafrella, died Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Windham Hospital. He was born April 1, 1920 in Medford, MA, the son of John and Louella (Keddy) Cafrella and had lived in Columbia since 1958. Prior to his retirement in 1977 he was employed by the State of Connecticut. Harry was a member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club in Chaplin and enjoyed fishing and archery. In addition to his wife he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Harry R. Cafrella, a brother, Orrin Guy Cafrella and a sister, Pearl Fenton. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Columbia Congregational Church, Rte. 87, Columbia.
