Harriett Hinckley Phillips, 83, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was taken home to be with our Lord on Sunday March 26, 2006 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the wife of the late Lindley Phillips and daughter of the late Chauncey and Mary Hinckley. She enjoyed bowling and many crafts. She was a member of the Chaplin Congregational Church and the Grange where she had served as a past Master. She is survived by a son, Winfield and his wife Barbara Phillips of Chaplin, a daughter Rachel and her husband Archie MacDonald of Chaplin, her grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Frank and John Phillips, Marge Dobbins, Andrew and Scott MacDonald, Elaine Dumas and Tammy LaFlamme, her great grandchildren, Michael, Lucas, Noah and Ryan Phillips, Keith, Ashley, Dennis, Adam and David MacDonald, Angie and Trevor LaFlamme. She also leaves a brother, Clarence Hinckley and his wife Muriel of Willimantic and a sister Dorothy Rouette of Waterford, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Newcomb. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte.195, Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chaplin Congregational Church.
