Harriet E. Ziolko, 64, of North Franklin, died February 22, 2020 in New York. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Elton and Emma K. (Wilson) Thompson. Harriet and her family moved to North Franklin and established ties to the community and schools.
Harriet got her nursing degree young in life but made a drastic change of careers to become a bartender. She always found herself complete when doing for others and socializing so the career choice was ideal. She worked many years as a bartender and waitress to help support her family. Harriet had a shine only some saw but if you saw it you’d say she’d give you her last dime.
Harriet is survived by four children, Charity H. Lee, Destiny Ziolko, Juleah Ziolko and Elton Ziolko; many grandchildren, cousins and various other relatives. She was predeceased by her oldest son Wayne J. Rajewski and her three ex-husbands. Harriet’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic.
