Harriet (Chasse) Tennant 89, of 466 Ash St. Willimantic, widow of Jared Tennant Jr., died Monday morning July 29, 2002 at the Windham Hospital. She was born July 21, 1913 in Willimantic the daughter of. Mrs. Tennant had been employed by the Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. in Willimantic for many years prior to her retirement. She will be remembered for her keen sense of humor and her quick wit. She was predeceased by a daughter Joan Plesz, a grandson Douglas Cady and 16 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter Harriet Cady of Willimantic, a brother Ernest Chasse of Athens, TN., a sister Leora Brindamour of Willimantic, 7 grandchildren; Dolores Dziekan, Dennis Cady, Joyce Cady, Linda Winkler, Cathy Brown, Brian Plesz and Susan Cope, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. According to her wishes, a graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm in St. Peter's Cemetery, Rte. 85, Hebron. There are no calling hours.
