H. Ira Ruschmann

H. Ira Ruschmann, 90, of Windham, husband of the late Dorothy (Dinneen) Ruschmann, died Friday Jan. 27, 2006 at Windham Hospital. He was born June 9, 1915 in Willimantic, the son of Herman and Florence (Sweetland) Ruschmann. Ira was a World War II U.S. Army veteran who received the Bronze Star Medal for performance of meritorious services at Solomon Islands on 07/28/1943. He was well known as a knowledgeable collector of antiques. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Joseph, Melvin and Ronald. He is survived by 2 sisters, Florence McComber and her husband Charles of Willimantic and Maralyn Porter and her husband Wilbur of Hebron and several nieces and nephews.
