Guy Plourde

Guy Plourde, 53, of Willimantic, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Windham Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 14, 1960 in Willimantic, the son of M. Lorraine (Beaudry) Plourde and the late Gene Plourde Sr. He worked for Browning Construction in Florida before moving to Connecticut. He enjoyed doing yard work, fishing, playing horseshoes and being with his family especially his grandson Shane Plourde Jr. In addition to his mother he is survived by three sons, Guy Plourde Jr., Shane Plourde and his fiancAC. Danielle and Jacob Plourde; two brothers, Troy Plourde and his wife Emma, Todd Plourde and his significant other Wendy; two sisters, Joanne Sullivan and April Zadrozny and her husband Brian and his beloved grandson Shane Plourde Jr.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Gene Plourde Jr. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 29, 2013 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on December 7, 2013 at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
