Guy J. Gagnon, 65, of Willimantic, passed away peacefully Monday February 20th 2012 at the Windham Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born March 15, 1946, in St. Georges De Beaux, Quebec, Canada, the son of late Marie and Joseph Gagnon. He was the oldest of five and beloved husband of 36 years to France Gagnon. Guy will forever be remembered by his two brothers Jocelyn and Pierre and his sister Diane, and was predeceased by his brother Roger. He was a beloved father of two sons, Eric and wife Melanie and Christian and his wife Megan. Though his time was short lived he treasured every moment he spent with his cherished grandchildren Madeleine and Miles, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Guy was a resident of Willimantic for twenty six years. He was a United States Army veteran and had a tremendous appetite for life, loved laughing, being with his family and playing with his grandchildren. Guy touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 46 Valley Street Willimantic, CT. Private burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.
