Gudrun Suffish

Gudrun Suffish, 65, of Storrs, wife of Henry Suffish, died Sunday Feb. 4, 2007 at Windham Hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1941 in Germany the daughter of Hans and Margarete (Steuer) Berheine. She was retired from UConn where she had been employed for over 20 years in Continuing Education. She had a lifelong passion for the well being of animals, particularly dogs, and also enjoyed spending time at the beach. She was devoted to her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Glenn Haley and his wife Kimberly of Ashford, 2 daughters, Laura Olsen and her husband Steven of Ashford and Pat Butler-Lofman and her husband Steven Lofman of Storrs, and 3 grandchildren, Alyse Lofman of Storrs and Tyler Olsen and Colin Haley both of Ashford. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday between 6:00pm and 7:00pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00pm.
