Grace M. Nelson

Grace M. Nelson, 74, of Storrs, wife of the late Robert Nelson, died Friday April 16, 2004 in Willimantic. She was born August 25, 1929 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Anthony and Hilda Peters. She grew up in Pennsylvania and had lived in Vernon for 25 years before moving to Storrs 5 years ago. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years by the Vernon School System lunch program. She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Dana Mortenson of Ashford, Patrice and Robert Nisch of Andover Township, NJ, 4 grandchildren, Lacey Mortenson, Robert Mortenson, Christine Nisch and Jennifer Nisch. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Patricia and Teresa. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home,456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic.
