Gloria Gamache Obituary
Gloria C. Gamache, 76, of Willimantic, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at her home.
She was born in Willimantic, CT, the daughter of Aurel and Irene (Chouinard) Gamache.
Gloria was a 4th grade teacher at the G.H. Robertson School in Coventry, CT for 35 years.
She was a communicant at St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic, CT. Gloria enjoyed being with family, planning parties, gardening, line dancing, baking, trips to New Hampshire and Florida, listening to audio books, watching cooking programs and HGTV.
She is survived by her brother Laurent Gamache and sister-in-law Mariel Gamache of Willimantic, sister Aurela Gamache of Gales Ferry, sister Linda Gamache of Willimantic, and sister-in-law Lidija Gamache of Columbia, CT. She also leaves a nephew Vincent Gamache and his wife, Kelly, niece Nathalie Gamache, nephew Christopher Gamache and his fiancé Jordan Kassery, nieces Irene Hauzinger and Barbara Hauzinger, along with several great nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Arthur J. Gamache.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church Repair Fund, 80 Maple Avenue, Willimantic, CT 06226.
Gloria’s family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street (Route 195), Willimantic, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley Street, Willimantic, CT for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
