Glenn "Gypper" Rogers

August 15, 1949 — January 6, 2016

Glenn (Gypper) Rogers, of North Windham, passed away peacefully at his home after a long valiant battle with cancer. Gypper loved his family, his friends, and his country. He served in the United States Air Force for seven years; most of those serving as a crew chief working on B52 bombers. Gypper retired from the motor pool at the University of Connecticut in 2011 where he fondly referred to his work area as "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood". His amazing sense of humor and many holiday outfits touched all he came in contact with, be it friend or stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Pam, who he loving referred to as his "Baby Doll", his sister Lindy Corey of North Windham, and his cousins Lance and Patty Klase of Mansfield, Terry and Song Corcoran of CO., Randy and Deb Corcoran of Mansfield, Gregg and Lisa Corcoran of Lebanon, Penny Corcoran of Storrs, and Wendy Parker of Mansfield. We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Davis Place in Danielson, and to his home health care providers for their wonderful care. There are no calling hours. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Gypper's life at the American Legion, 339 Brick Top Road, Windham, on Friday January 22, 2016 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 19, 339 Brick Top Rd, Windham, CT 06280. For an online memorial guestbook please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com .
