Gladys (Thompson) Perfetto, 77, of Storrs, wife of Robert E. Perfetto, died Saturday March 11, 2006 at Douglas Manor, Windham. She was born Nov. 6, 1928 in Mansfield the daughter of Norman and Carrie (Hayes) Thompson. Gladys was a woman of many interests. She raised Shetland ponies and also operated an antique shop at her home. She was a former member of the Soroptimist Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Maryann Perfetto and her husband Daniel Gardner of Spring Hill, FL., a son John Perfetto of Storrs, 2 sisters, Pearl Heckler of Woodstock Valley and Eugenia Schuebeler of Hyannis, MA., a grandson Jonathan Gardner of Spring Hill, FL. and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30pm with interment following in Pink Cemetery, Mansfield.
