Gladys G Durkee

Gladys G. Durkee, 88, of High St., Willimantic, widow of Russell Durkee, died Saturday morning Oct. 19, 2002 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born July 20, 1914 in Manchester, N.H. and had been employed by the American Thread Co. for many years prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and an avid bingo player. She is survived by 2 daughters and sons in law; Nancy and Francis Shea and Dorothy and John Griffin all of Willimantic, 4 grandchildren; Russell Shea, Jacqueline Shea, Jeffrey Griffin and Tyler Griffin, 5 great grandchildren; Ryan Shea, Jenna Shea, Colby Shea, Cory Shea and Rachel Griffin and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Her family suggests memorial donations to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements through the Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic, Ct.
