It is with sadness that the family of Gina Rose Mastrangelo announces her passing on November 26, 2024 at the age of 71. Gina was a vibrant and unforgettable soul who left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Born to Thomas John and Irene Lawrence Mastrangelo on November 20, 1953 in Stafford CT, Gina grew up and lived the majority of her life in Mansfield. She attended EO Smith High School, worked at Manchester Hospital and Mansfield State Training School, and often supported the ASPCA through donations. Gina’s days were filled with helping those in need, caring for her furry and feathered friends, and drinking coffee with beloved family and friends. Prior to her passing, Gina received exceptional compassionate care at Vanderman Place in Willimantic.
Gina is predeceased by her parents Thomas John Mastrangelo (d. 1993) and Irene Lawrence Mastrangelo (d. 2005), and her long-term companion William (Bill) Mason. She is survived by her sister Laurie Ann Mastrangelo-Simmons, her nieces Christina Marie Simmons and Courtney Anne Simmons, her grand-nieces Devonne Natalia Robins, Alanna Irene Robins, and Zoee Sage Robins, numerous cousins and friends, her bird Blue, and many beloved fur babies.
Gina will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
