Gertrude Maine

Gertrude (Bray) Maine, 88, of Scotland, passed away Tuesday July 3, 2007 at Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norwich. She was born March 12, 1919 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the daughter of Frederick and Carrie (Chapman) Bray. She was a resident of Scotland for seventy years and was predeceased by her husband Roland F. Maine Sr. and her brother Baron Bray. She is survived by a son Roland F. Maine Jr. of Scotland, two daughters, Marilyn Perry and her husband John of Fairfax, VA. and Joyce Garstka and her husband Kenneth of Ledyard; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two nieces, Mary Bray Smith of Canterbury and Phyllis Cates of Chaplin and a nephew Russell F. Pringle of Olympia, WA. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday between 6:00 and 8:00pm.
