Gerda A.A. Jung

Gerda A. A. Jung, 89, of Chaplin died Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Windham. She was born December 13, 1923 in Germany, the daughter of Emil and Auguste (Quaschny) Wohlfarth and came to the United States in 1963. She had lived in Lebanon for 20 years before moving to Chaplin in 1983. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed for 19 years at the former American Thread Co. in Willimantic. Gerda was a member of the Christian Life Assembly in Willimantic. She is survived by two daughter; Dorothea Kay of Scotland and Karen Jung of Chaplin, three sons; Gerhard Jung of Windham, Bernhard Jung of Hampton and Reinhard Jung of Willimantic, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic . Burial will follow in the South Chaplin Cemetery.
