Geraldine "Gerry" (Velk) Sledjeski Obituary
Geraldine “Gerry” (Velk) Sledjeski, 74, of Willimantic, CT passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Marie (English) Tobin.

She is survived by her three daughters: Karen Williams and her husband Richard of Franklin, CT, Christina Shoemaker and her husband Herb of Milwaukee, WI, and Dawn Velk of Willimantic, CT, and her grandchildren: Katlyn Velk, Hannah Shoemaker, Amber Plourde, Alyssa Williams, Kaylee Williams and Colin Plourde. She was predeceased by her first husband Bruce Velk and second husband Vincent Sledjeski, Jr.

Gerry enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.  Her most enjoyable role was being “Grammy” and a companion to her beloved rescue dog Rosie.

The family would like to especially thank her caregivers Jackie, Veronica and Gregoria, along with the staff at Woodlake at Tolland for all of their kindness and compassion for Gerry over the years and in her final days.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9:30am until her funeral service at 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .
