Gerald L. Major

Gerald (Junior) Major, 37, of Mansfield passed unexpectedly Saturday November 8th, 2014. He was born August 14th, 1977 in Rockville, CT .He grew up in Willimantic, CT. He graduated from Windham Tech and studied carpentry. Gerald worked for the Local 43 Union Carpentry since graduating in 96, and continued to for the past 19 years. He took pride in being a Union Carpenter. Gerald was a huge Patriots and Red Sox fan. His Smile could lighten the darkest of rooms and his laugh was infectious. He loved to make people laugh. Gerald is predeceased by his parents, Gerald L Major SR; and mother Carol Hurlock Major. He leaves behind his daughter, the love of his life, Marley Lee Ann Major; her Mother Jennifer Daisy Major; his Brothers, Guy Major and his wife Colleen, Joe Major and his wife Beth. He was a loving Uncle to his beloved Nieces and Nephews Cameron, Chelsea, Andrew and Allison. His Parental figures George and Sandy Duncan of Harwington, CT and Leon and Joan Tetreault (whom he called Ma) of Columbia CT, and Many other family members will also miss him. Friends and family will gather on Friday November 14, 2014 from 10am- 12 noon at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (route 195), Willimantic, CT. A committal service will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery in Coventry.
